Two Weeks: In Review

With that last post, I have now been chronicling my life for fourteen straight days. Let me tell you, I have opinions!

This is me, a great many hours a day:

I do a lot of sitting in front of a computer. I guess this is natural among people with jobs. It's not like I thought I spent my weekdays on safari or anything. Seeing panel after panel of the back of a monitor gets depressing, is all.

I can't exactly blame my job, though, since this past weekend was a complete and utter waste of 48 hours. If hourly comic day (next weekend, guys!) is anything like Sunday, I may have to wander into the wilderness, never to be seen again.

As for deciding whether the comics themselves were a success, I turn once again to John Campbell's ruminations:
...this comic came out of a dissatisfaction with the personal distance that i feel in most daily journal comics. i can read journal strips for years and not really feel like i know the author at all...
Do these slices of my life accurately simulate knowing me? I'm willing to bet the vast majority of the people reading them already know me, so it's hard to say. Spread the word, I guess. Don't be afraid to comment. Comics are, by nature, communicative. I hate to be a traffic whore, but these comics are a fairly useless experiment if people don't read them.

And I guess even if reading these is like trying to understand the deep psychological motivations of a sea urchin, I've had fun making them. They give me perspective and everyone could use a little more of that.

Conclusion: Satisfied
Status: Continuing
